　　The world we live in is becoming more and more intolerable because ofenvironmental destruction. Bird flu and Sars are two typical examples thatenvironmental destruction may threaten our life. Besides, forest destruction ,water and air pollution result in decrease of planting land and unpleasantweather.

　　Serious as the problem seems, we can come up with some measures to dealwith it. First of all, the authorities should adopt the policy of "sustainabledevelopment", and laws concerning environmental protection should be put intoeffect and enforced strictly just as our government has been doing.

　　What' s more, every citizen should realize the seriousness of the problemand make concerted efforts to protect our environment. In addition, plantingtrees helps improve and beautify the environment.

　　Scientists are finding ways to stop air pollution especially in bigindustrial areas and densely-populated cities. Also, engineers try to design and locate new power plants to dominimum damage to the environment.

　　However, it may be that we still have a long way to go before we have aclean world. Nearly all of the countries are trying hard to prevent and controlair pollution. There indeed seems to be no end to tasks that environmentalistswill be required to do. People will continually find new ways to controlpollution.

　　As we all know，the environmemt around us is getting worse andworse .In some places，we can't see fish swimming in the river or trees on thehills. Some people even have no clean water to drink.

　　So I think we must do something to protect the environment. But what can wedo?How to protect our environmemt ?For example，we can go to school on foot or bybike .

　　we can use shopping baskets not plastic bags when we go shopping，and we canuse both sides of the paper when we write .In a word，if everyone pays moreattention to our environment ，there will be less pollution and our life will bebetter.

　　“There is only one earth”，I hope everyone will protect our environmentwell.

　　眾所周知，我們周圍的環(huán)境越來(lái)越差，在一些地方，我們看不見魚在河里游泳或在山上爬樹。有些人甚至沒(méi)有干凈的水喝。

　　所以我認(rèn)為我們必須做些什么來(lái)保護(hù)環(huán)境。但是我們能做什么呢?如何保護(hù)我們的環(huán)境?例如，我們可以步行上學(xué)，也可以騎自行車上學(xué)。

　　當(dāng)我們購(gòu)物時(shí)，我們可以使用購(gòu)物籃而不是塑料袋，當(dāng)我們寫字時(shí)，我們可以使用紙的兩面?？傊?，如果每個(gè)人都更加關(guān)注我們的環(huán)境，就會(huì)減少污染，我們的生活會(huì)更好。
