China has long been a nation of etiquette, with integrity being a traditional virtue of the Chinese people and a fundamental principle in their dealings. In accordance with the County Education Bureau's notification on conducting activities centered around integrity, our school has actively implemented theme activities related to integrity education based on its own situation. Students are encouraged to start with themselves, act in the present, and pay attention to the small matters around them. They should strive to be truthful children at home, responsible students at school, and honorable citizens in society. The summary of this activity is as follows:
1. Diverse Channels and Formats for Integrity Education.
1. Educating students on integrity through speeches under the national flag with the theme Be a Model of Integrity, Build Social Trust Together.
2. Making full use of moral education classes, class meetings, and themed activities to convey messages about integrity.
3. Employing various methods such as the Red Scarf Broadcasting Station and school messaging systems to timely educate students about integrity.
2. Phased Approach to Integrity Education.
In the ninth week, based on class circumstances and the characteristics of student ages, we organized students to formulate a Class Integrity Commitment and facilitated their signatures. In the tenth week, we held an essay competition on the theme of Integrity.
Through these educational activities, students have significantly enhanced their awareness of integrity, teamwork, and communication skills. Incidents of homework plagiarism, exam cheating, and mutual deception among students have notably decreased, reflecting a marked improvement in individual integrity levels perceived by teachers. Parents have also noticed their children being more respectful and considerate than before. Integrity education is an essential component of moral and ideological development for elementary school students and an important means of elevating their moral standards. We will continue to integrate everyday examples into our teaching, seizing every opportunity to subtly instill these values in students and contribute to nurturing well-rounded individuals for the new century.
